TaDah Foods Sponsors Daily Nutritional Breakfast for Children
Local DC entrepreneur recently appeared on Shark Tank and made a deal with Kind founder to expand his business of falafel foods. In an effort to deliver on his promise, CEO John Sorial has sponsored a daily nutritional breakfast for over 200 school children beginning the fall term of 2020. The impact of the breakfast on the children has improved their focus in class and provided for their nutritional needs. Now the kids enjoy both breakfast and lunch while attending school.

IMPACT Collective and M2L Launch Splendor Fest for Homeless in DC
In July of 2016, IMPACT Collective designed and marketed Splendor Fest – an event benefiting 500 members of the local homeless community in Franklin Square of Washington, DC. Splendor Fest provided a unique experience consisting of live music, food, inspirational speeches, and aid to the local homeless community.
IMPACT Collective and M2L Launch Splendor in Washington, DC
In October of 2015, M2L in partnership with IMPACT Collective, launched a ministry called Splendor to serve homeless families, at risk youth, prisoners, and those facing addictions. This is a revival mission utilizing the universal power of music to provide a VIP experience to these disadvantaged communities. We impact lives by presenting the Gospel through worship concerts that bring inspi- rational and hopeful messages to those who are in the greatest need of encouragement. Matt Maher concert to benefit 223 orphans in partnership with WGTS 91.9 FM
In October of 2015, 5 time Grammy Nominee and Dove Award Winner Matt Maher performed at a fundraising concert with I Am They, Jon Guerra, and Hannah Kerr to a sold out audience of 2,200 where 45 kids were sponsored. Check out the video highlight here!
Celebrity Chef Jose Andres’ World Central Kitchen Donates $60,000 to build kitchen and bakery for our orphans in Zambia
In August of 2015, Jose Andres’ World Central Kitchen from Washington DC graciously donated $60,000 to invest in a bakery and smart kitchen at our brand new school in Zambia. This included training for the cooks to teach them how to grow their own vegetables, maintain chicken farms and bakery, thus creating a sustainable source of income for the school.
M2L Launches Splendor Music Ministry in Zambia
In June of 2018, M2L sends 10 missionaries to Zambia to launch Splendor – a music ministry for orphans in 3 schools. Brand new instruments were purchased, donated, and presented by a wor- ship team from Washington, DC. This group performed inspirational concerts inside of broken communities while delivering messages of hope as our anthem. The ministry continues today with the support and assistance of professional Gospel singers and Worship Leaders in Zambia.
Meant 2 Live collaborates with TOMS Shoes, Villages of Hope, and World Vision
In 2013, World Vision generously donated clothes and school supplies to all our children while Villa- ges of Hope graciously donated over 500 reading books and teaching supplies to our school. Ken- dell Enterprise generously donated close to 2000 hardcover exercise books for our 3 schools.TOMS shoes also donated 220 pairs of shoes for our children. M2L Board Member contributes brand new $25,000 library for new orphan school
In July of 2013, Richard Wilde donated a brand new library for our orphans to his fiancé (now wife) Kimberly Warfield, an original M2L Advisory Board Member. This is a gift that will continuously provi- de our orphans a place to read and be inspired. The value of this gift is $25,000 which included construction, books, shelves, décor and the librarian. In 2014, Richard and Kimberly went to build the library, set it up, and cut the ribbon at the grand opening ceremony! Watch their video blog live from Zambia here!
Bill Gates visits Coptic Mission Hospital in Lusaka, Zambia

Japanese Embassy and Meant 2 Live launched new school for orphans in Zambia
In July of 2014, the Embassy of Japan in Zambia contributed $124,000 while Meant 2 Live Founda- tion donated $110,000 to launch a new school for orphans. The school features 8 classrooms, a full kitchen, cafeteria, conference room, and office space for the administration. This new facility is benefiting the lives of 220 orphans. Aaron Shust concert to benefit 220 orphans in partnership with WGTS 91.9 FM
In October of 2014, Dove Award Winner and Christian Contemporary Artist Aaron Shust performed at a fundraiser concert to benefit our orphans in Zambia. More than 700 were in attendance and 21 children were sponsored! Watch the recap highlight video here!
Missionaries from United Kingdom donate bus to our school

The Winery at Bull Run hosts events year-round to raise nearly $5,200 for M2L
In 2013, 2014, and 2015, The Winery at Bull Run hosted multiple music festivals, magic shows, comedy shows, and fashion shows to benefit Meant 2 Live Foundation. Not only did these events raise funds, but they also increased awareness for M2L’s mission to a new demographic. Funds raised were contributed to the brand new school for orphans in Zambia in terms of interior design, construction, and school supplies. Watch the highlight video of the Fall Crush Festival here!
Amphora Diner launches Change 4 Change and raises $6,200
In October of 2013, Amphora kicked off its Change 4 Change campaign benefiting the OZ Project. Through this campaign, Amphora’s nearly 60,000 monthly customers learned about the needs of Zambian orphans via tent cards and encouragement by servers to add $1 to their checks that will be donated to the cause.
One Sweet World Gala raises $14,200
In October of 2013, Meant 2 Live Foundation and ShareACause coordinated the One Sweet World Gala which raised $14,200 for our orphans in Zambia. This amount helped pay for teacher salaries in our school and provide 2 hot meals for each child in class per day. The funds also contributed to purchasing brand new school supplies to better their education.
Touching Heart donates $9,400 to build a new classroom and kitchen
Touching Heart awards grant to expand and create a third classroom. This allowed us to keep students at the school past Grade 2 and up to Grade 3, which eliminated their difficult transition from school to school. This new space also enabled us to better implement our unique teaching method where students rotate to various classrooms in which they are exposed to multiple intelli- gent styles of learning to help them reach their full potential.
Life Church presents Elevation Justice Night Concert to sponsor 21 orphans
In July of 2013, Life Church sponsored Elevation Justice Night Concert to get 21 of our orphans to be sponsored. It was an incredible night of worship while giving life to our children in Zambia.
OZ Project on TV in Zambia
In 2013, we raised local awareness of the schools’ success in the lives of our children through the media. OZ was debuted several times on Muvi TV, a youth TV channel in Lusaka, to show how the school is providing orphans and vulnerable children with free quality education and is also catering to their personal and physical needs.
New Qualified Staff Hired For Orphans School
In 2014, new qualified teaching staff was hired to improve the quality of education that we offer to the orphans and vulnerable children in our 3 different communities. This was a valuable investment as they are the ones who can most improve the children’s circumstances through education. In addition, we are providing weekly staff meetings, training and workshops to further develop their teaching skills and approaches.
International Women’s Club Helps Sponsor our Child Feeding Program
In 2013, The International Women’s Club in Zambia selected our orphan school as one of this year’s recipients at their annual check giving ceremony. After visiting the school and hearing about how our feeding program was suddenly taken away from our children last year, they were inspired to help us re-establish this program. Thanks to their contribution, we have re-instituted our feeding program and every child is now receiving a breakfast meal every day.
Networking 4 Good is born!
In 2011, Meant 2 Live Foundation Founder, Eddie Fam, created Networking 4 Good as an event to raise awareness and funds for a cause while cultivating an environment for business networking. Watch the highlight video here!
