Recently, a group of high school youth from St. Mark Coptic Orthodox Church in Washington, D.C. decided to write letters to our children in Zambia. It was so thoughtful when they reached out to us for this idea. It came at a time when our children in Zambia, like the rest of the world, were battling the pandemic. Schools had closed and many things were put on hold. Thankfully, after months of waiting, when the schools opened up, the letters were delivered bringing so much hope and joy! The children were so excited to receive the letters and eagerly wrote back to their new friends.
We are grateful for the creativity and ideas the youth had to brighten a child’s life. It means so much when people take time out of their lives to care for and reach out to a child in need. If you have any ideas of ways you can support our children or donate, we would love to hear from you!
