Rebuilding St. Abanoub: A Community Comes Together for Zambia

A school is more than the walls that surround it. It is where children learn, make friends, discover their abilities, and begin imagining what their future can look like.

Earlier this year, severe flooding damaged the St. Abanoub school in Zambia. What followed was a community coming together with one shared goal: to rebuild a place where children could continue their education.

Thanks to the generosity of our donors, friends, and supporters, Meant 2 Live Foundation raised an incredible $102,000 toward the rebuilding efforts, surpassing our original $100,000 goal. We are so grateful to everyone who gave, prayed, and helped make this possible. We thank God for His grace and for bringing so many people together to make this happen.

This past summer, a mission group from STSA Church traveled to Zambia with Fr. Abraham. During their visit, they had the opportunity to see the rebuilding progress firsthand and even take part in the construction.

It was more than just a visit. Our team got to work alongside the local community, lend a hand, and see the dedication that goes into making this project possible. They also visited all of our school campuses, including our newly completed high school.

The visit was a reminder of how much is happening in Zambia and how many lives are being touched through these schools and ministries. There is so much work taking place on the ground, and we are grateful that our team from the States had the opportunity to witness it firsthand.

At the heart of all this work are the children. A school gives them a place to learn, spend time with friends, discover their abilities, and build relationships with the people around them. Knowing that St. Abanoub has now been rebuilt makes this milestone especially meaningful.

We are deeply thankful to everyone who played a part in bringing this school back. From those who contributed to the fundraising efforts to the volunteers, local staff, and everyone who continued to pray for the project, each person helped make this possible.

The rebuilding of St. Abanoub is now complete, and we look forward to seeing the children fill its classrooms again.

There is so much more happening in Zambia, and we are excited to continue sharing these stories with you. Thank you for being part of the Meant 2 Live Foundation family and for walking alongside the children, families, and communities we serve.

Thank you, and God bless you!
